15 Snowflake Nail Ideas to Try, from Glittery Flurries to Frosty French Tips

.byffi
- Snowflake nails can range from chic, minimalist nail art to 3D flurries that sparkle and shine.
- Put a snowflake accent nail in a holiday set or make it the star of your next winter manicure.
Looking for your next winter manicure crush? Snowflake nails will have you falling faster than, well, snowflakes in a blizzard. They’re festive, but not so specific that you have to change them out after Thanksgiving and Christmas. “This nail art always trends because it’s a non-holiday specific winter manicure that can also be really chic and delicate,” says celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec. “Plus, you can wear it all the way through February.”
Another benefit is that snowflake nails have a flurry of interpretations, from clean, simple nail art to glittery, 3D sets that capture the beauty of a pure blanket of white. The latter might be best left to your nail tech, but the former type of design is easy to DIY at home.
“The best way to do this look at home is to use nail decals,” says Kandalec. “You can play with the length of the snowflake by positioning it at the base of the nail or vertically along the length, you can sprinkle white fine glitter on your gel base before curing everything for a 3D effect, and you can even put the decal under a jelly nail polish for a peek-a-boo design.”
Like their namesake symbol, no two snowflake nails are alike. Find inspiration for all kinds of snowflake nail ideas below.
